The Billericay Constitutional Club Golf Society was formed on 14th October 1986 and is affiliated to the Billericay Constitutional Club.

The aim of the original founders of the society was to promote camaraderie within its membership, to provide regular meetings with the emphasis on fun and enjoyment within the competitive environment of the great game of golf and this ethos is upheld to this day.

The society has monthly golf days during the months of March to October and a “Turkey Trot” in December.

The AGM was held at the ConClub on 15th January 2025.

Latest News:-

We experienced almost tropical weather for our return to Porters Park Golf Club, hot and humid with a couple of heavy rainstorms. Nevertheless,  the course was as good as last year, and the club very welcoming.

Our thanks got to Eddie Edwards for sponsoring the day.

We were playing for the Tom Mellish Cup and the winner was Stu Maddison with a very respectable 39 points off a handicap of 22, in 2nd place was Nick Fitzpatrick with 38 points off 25, and 3rd was Vince Kirley with 37 points off 15.

The nearest the pins were won by Andy Hemsley at the 6th, Craig Teagle at the 9th, and Richard Carver at the 12th , and again at the 14th .
The guest prize was won by Dave Redmond, a guest of Russell Gunnett, the only guest this time out.
All the scores, revised handicaps etc. can be seen on the following pages.

The semi-final of  the match play competition was played between John Owens & Nick Fitzpatrick with Nick the victor 3&2. The other semi-final between Phil Walsh & Kevin Baker will be played next week. Previously, Kevin & Craig replayed their quarter-final match at The Burstead and again was all square after18, but Kevin won the extra hole.
The final will be contested in September at Rochford One Hundred - see Match Play page.

In the Captain’s Trophy Nick Fitzpatrick  has extended his lead to 40 points, second is still Alan Littmoden on 32 and third Andy Hemsley on 26 but with 5 rounds now potentially played, only improved scores will count.

The next golf day is the away trip at Lingfield Park  on Tuesday 26th with optional extra day on Monday, followed by Westerham on Wedneday 27th August.
Ddetails are on the Golf Days page.
